Three years ago we "officially" opened our doors and since then we have learned so much and hopefully made lots of people happy! Our 5* reviews suggest this might be true ;)
People don't know that for years we operated a small "hobby-business" selling our pearls at trunk shows, bazaars, pop-ups, and parties and after SO MANY people asked us for a Website, we decided to go for it. We have really enjoyed all our experiences so far and everyone has been super-nice, from all our social media friends, to our customers, to all the people in the NC Small Business Administration who helped us gather our courage and develop our strengths. We already had our "style" and enterprise in place, but without everyone helping us, we wouldn't be here today!
So today as a way of thanking everyone, I'll share a few tidbits of what we do behind the scenes.
Did you know that when we learn about a Woman recovering from cancer, we send her something, customer or not. If you have fought the battle, you deserve love and honor. If you know someone, drop us a note. In addition, every October we run our Pink Pearls 4 Girls campaign where we offer proceeds from any pink pearl purchase to the Komen Foundation. 1 in 8 Women will develop invasive breast cancer during her lifetime and our Pink Pearls 4 Girls campaign is a little bit of hope and money to support the research to end this nightmare for so many. So in October, consider a pink pearl purchase to make your own small contribution to ending this disease.
We work with our bloggers, sharing pearls and stories. Many of our bloggers are now our good friends! Interested? Drop us a note. We also collaborate with groups supporting professional Women and socially support other Women enterprises. We both know how difficult it was when we were younger to manage our careers, our families, and our personal expectations and so we understand that lending a helping hand is important.
Another aspect of Naughton Braun that is different from other pearl companies is our Ambassador program. This cadre of Women constitutes many of the models you see sporting our pearls. Finally and most importantly, our pearl jewelry supports a global enterprise of Women artisans. Our eco-sourced pearls are created into individually handmade masterpieces by Ladies who individually hand string and individually knot our pearl designs to support their own families. We are so grateful for their perseverance and artistry and honored that they choose to work with us!
